Dibër’s glacial heritage

The relief of Korab, Lurë, Kacni and Balgjaj preserves cirques, valleys and lakes created by Quaternary glaciation. This makes Dibër one of Albania’s richest areas for understanding glacial landscapes.

  • High-altitude lakes and glacial cirques.
  • Terrain suited to hiking, photography and nature study.
  • The most suitable season is generally late spring to early autumn.
